There are a few different options available when choosing an air conditioning system.
Split systems are the most common choice for domestic customers. This type of installation involves fitting an indoor unit on the wall in the chosen room, then drilling through to the outside to connect the pipework, cables, and drain to an outdoor unit, which can be wall mounted or floor mounted.
Some outdoor units can be connected to more than one indoor unit. This is known as a multi split system and can be a great option if you want to control the temperature in more than one room.
Ducted systems require more planning, as they need additional space for installation. They are usually fitted in the loft space, allowing the route between the indoor and outdoor units to be carefully planned. Grilles are then installed in the ceilings of each room where heating and cooling are needed.
